best pizza sauce EVER!

You have to read that in your best comic book guy voice. This sauce is AMAZING. I decided to make pizza tonight, I was thinking the crust would be the star of the show but it turns out I could sit here and eat an entire bowl of just the sauce. It is simple and thick and would be great over pasta, bruschetta, or on pizza.

best pizza sauce
1/2 can tomato sauce (8oz)
1 can tomato paste (6oz)
1 tbsp dried oregano
2 cloves roasted garlic
1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup vegan parm

vegan parm
1/4 cup raw almonds
1/4 cup raw pepitas/pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup nutritional yeast

blend the ingredients until they are a smooth powder

To roast the garlic cut the pointy tips off of the garlic, keeping their wrappers on. Wrap them both in aluminum oil (or do the entire head of garlic at once and save the rest to use later). Roast at 300 degrees for 30-45 minutes depending on your oven. This is great to have around to just mix with olive oil as a dipping sauce or to use in any recipes - especially hummus or baba ghanoush!

Mix the tomato paste, oregano, sauce, olive oil if you are using it. You can skip the roasted garlic if you are using a tomato sauce that already has garlic in it, it is still great without it but I am a garlic lover. Squeeze the garlic out of the wrappers and mash it with a fork and stir it into the tomato mix with a fork. Add in 1/4 cup of the vegan parm mix and mix thoroughly then add salt and pepper to taste. I used some teese vegan cheese on it with black olives and pineapple for a really tasty pizza.
